Leadership Team


Bill Emhiser is the President of Maine Manufacturing where he oversees the operational and strategic growth of the company. Bill brings over 30 years of experience in the life science industry to his position. Previously, Bill was based in London, England as Chief Executive Officer of Whatman Plc, a leader in the separations industry. Prior to this Bill was employed in a number of senior management roles at Millipore Corporation most notably as President of the Life Sciences Division.


Andy Pease is the Chief Financial Officer for Maine Manufacturing. In this role, Andy oversees the finance, human resource, business systems, customer service and material management functions for the company. Andy brings more than twenty years of experience in these functions, including over 16 years with IDEXX Laboratories, Inc where he held positions of Divisional Vice President of the Veterinary Practice Management software group and Director of Global Business Systems.


Craig Cunningham is the founder and Vice-President of Engineering and Development for Maine Manufacturing. Bringing more than 20 years of manufacturing experience in pulp and paper design and production, plastic molding, membrane, chemical, industrial engineering and manufacturing management Craig leads all engineering design and production projects. Prior to founding Maine Manufacturing Craig was the Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer with Whatman, Inc for twelve years.


John Tonkinson is the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Maine Manufacturing. In this position, John is helping Maine Manufacturing to develop and execute strategies to diversify our customer base, product portfolio, and market reach. John brings more than 15 years of experience from the lab bench to executive management. Since 2006 he has worked with several early stage biotechnology companies to establish business models and generate profitable revenue in emerging markets. Prior to 2006 John was the Director of Sales and Scientific Services for Schleicher & Schuell BioScience. John holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from Columbia University.


Michael Harvey, Ph.D.is the Chief Science Officer for Maine Manufacturing. Mike oversees the department focused on protein microarrays, track etched membranes and surface modifications.  Mike has extensive experience in immunochemistry, molecular biology and materials modifications for improved binding surfaces and detection of surface bound reactions. Mike was the Vice President of Research and Development for Schleicher & Schuell Bioscience when they were bought out by Whatman Inc in 2005. Mike continued with Whatman and was the Director of Development of Microarrays and Molecular Biology through its acquisition with GE Healthcare. Mike has 30 scientific publications and holds 6 US patents.


Rob Wilder is the Director of Quality Management at Maine Manufacturing. He brings over 25 years of experience as a quality professional to the company including his experience as the former Quality Assurance Manager for Whatman in Sanford, ME. With such in-depth institutional knowledge and experience Rob oversees both the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Departments and is also the ISO Management Representative for Maine Manufacturing.


Ken Hall is the Director of Manufacturing at Maine Manufacturing. In this role Ken oversees all aspects of production. Ken holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems from the University of Southern Maine and he previously held positions in supplier management, production, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering at Alere Inc (formerly Inverness Medical Innovations) a market leader in point-of-care and clinical testing.
