In 2010 Maine Manufacturing acquired collective expertise in the development and manufacturing of Track Etched membranes. Members of our team have continually developed and improved the manufacturing processes of Track Etched membranes over the last decade.
Maine Manufacturing has existing manufacturing processes which permit us to control all of the physical properties of both membrane types, including pore size, pore density, thickness and surface properties.

We supply membranes for general use worldwide. Track Etched membranes are used in many applications, including chemotaxis, biological filtration, particle and bacterial identification and quantification, air monitoring, nucleic acid studies, process filtration, and cell culture. Currently Maine Manufacturing is developing proprietary surface coating programs for Track Etched membrane enabling our customers to customize membranes for specific biological and chemical applications.
We supply track etched membranes to several major companies as essential components for their product lines. In one of these companies, we are rated as their overall number one supplier for quality and reliability.
As a company with many years experience in these product lines, we have developed a
comprehensive program of material and process control. Our relationships with our suppliers of base film are well established, going back many years with direct communication concerning materials, scheduling, and any special requirements.
